What's the DIFFERENCE between an Online English LESSON and an Online English COURSE?
An Online English LESSON = TUTORIAL is all about
communicating with your course tutor in real time for a certain number of minutes, a typical lesson is 30-120 mins long, using a voice or text chat, or, occasionally, a text chat and a mobile or fixed-line phone.
An Online English COURSE consists of
- a series of scheduled online lessons aka tutorials (EnglishLab.Net prefers GoogleTalk or Skype for that, but there are some other options out there, too)
- courseware - different materials (e.g.
interactive exercises, quizzes & tests, downloadable worksheets,
audio/video, inages, etc) and learning tools (e.g. discussion
forums/fora, an interactive vocabulary notebook) in your VIP course in
the Englishlab.Net Virtual Classroom. Your course materials might
include one or more regular coursebooks in additional to the web-based
components.
